Atmospheric sounding preprocessing

Toolboxes

Atmospheric sounding products, whether level 1 or level 2, are acquired from different satellite instruments with different spatial resolutions. In order to compare differents satellite products or a satellite product with ancillary data (e.g. ground based, airborne, for cal/val purpose) it is necessary to ensure the consistency of the data (same grids, same physical quantities). Some tools can help this preprocessing:

Function Tools Related use cases
Regridding and harmonisation HARP A tool to read a large number of Earth observation products together with model data in diverse file formats, and preprocess datasets so that they share the same spatio-temporal grid, data structure and physical units.
earthkit-regrid A tool for regridding and interpolation across a wide range of grids and coordinate systems.
earthcarekit A tool for vertical regridding of the different products from the EarthCARE mission.
